Our family is mourning the loss of Earnest “Scott” McCoy. Many of you know him from Draco Street in Orange Park. Some of you might know him from Weaver Road in Oakwood, off of Doctor’s Lake Drive, also in Orange Park. He passed suddenly June 2, 2026 from a cardiac event, at the age of 62. He is survived by his only child, a son, Jackson McCoy (pictured here with Scott), his father, Larry McCoy, step-mother, Sally McCoy, his sisters, Simone McCoy Greenberg, and Fawn McCoy Willis, his brother Brett “Vance” McCoy, stepbrother Kirk Williams. He also had many nieces and nephews. Scott was a talented baseball player in his younger years. He enjoyed following NASCAR, fishing, and cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
