Adrienne Marie Wyatt

Adrienne Marie (Lawrence) Wyatt, 79, passed away surrounded by family on June 6th 2026. She was born on August 15, 1946, in Sheffield, England, to Frank and Marina Lawrence. Frank served as a fireman for the City of Sheffield, and Marina owned and operated a local post office. Her cousin and best friend, Ann Shaw, grew up in the “Steel City” during some of Sheffield’s best years.

In 1970, Adrienne moved to Heidelberg, Germany, for work. There, she was set up on a blind date with Donald “Jeff” Wyatt, who was serving in the United States Army. This meeting marked the beginning of a lifelong love story. While abroad here they became friends with the Bleifuss family and remain friends to this day. Adrienne and Jeff were married in November 1971 and soon moved to Toledo, Ohio, where they began building their family together.

Adrienne and Jeff had three children: Mark, Leslie, and Paul. The family eventually settled in Raleigh, North Carolina, where Adrienne devoted herself to raising her children throughout their school years. Later, she worked for a retail company and then a marketing company in Raleigh. While she enjoyed her career, her greatest happiness came during retirement, when she could spend treasured time with her seven grandchildren: Kaela, Liana, Mason, Ashton, Marina, Adaline, and Julia. Just recently in 2025, she joyfully welcomed her first great-grandson, Wyatt.

Adrienne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared 53 years of marriage with Jeff before his passing in 2024 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Adrienne herself battled dementia in her later years with strength and grace. Known affectionately as “Nan Nan,” she will be remembered for her love of family, and the Yorkshire Pudding that brought everyone together around the table.

Adrienne’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. An inurnment ceremony will be held at 4:00PM on July 10, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church, 5010 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
