David Lawrence Hedrick

June 23, 1970 – July 7, 2025

David Lawrence Hedrick, 55, of Auburn Hills, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2025. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, on June 23, 1970, to John and Clarissa Hedrick, David lived a vibrant and full life.

A proud graduate of Avondale High School, David was a standout athlete and went on to play college football at the University of Wisconsin. His competitive spirit and dedication carried over into his professional life, where he became a successful businessman and owned a mortgage brokerage firm.

In recent years, David made his home in Lakewood, Florida, but his heart belonged to the world. He loved to travel, with a special affection for Mexico. A true sports enthusiast, David was always cheering on his favorite teams and sharing that passion with those around him.

David had an incredible generosity of spirit. He would do anything for anyone, and his presence lit up every room. He cherished time spent with his many friends and remained deeply dedicated to his family. His loyal pug, Rocky, was always by his side.

He is survived by his siblings: Robert (Kim) Hedrick, Donna Fletcher, Karen Hedrick, and Kenneth (Rebecca) Hedrick; his loving girlfriend, Lenka; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Sara, Lynde, Gary, Danielle, Alex, John, Danny, Joel, Jennifer, and Nicole. He also leaves behind countless friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation for David will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a funeral service at 4:30 PM.
