It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor “Bobby” L. Richwine announces her passing, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Bobby was born on October 17, 1930 in Hanford, CA; the 2nd youngest of 11 children born to May (Racey) & Charles Hatfield. She was raised in Lemoore, CA and graduated from Lemoore High School. After graduation, she married Delbert Richwine and together they had a son, Timothy Richwine. The young family moved frequently over the years, but finally settled in Santa Barbara, CA where Bobby began her career as a cake decorator. She loved to make beautiful cakes for those she loved, but found even more joy in future years spending time teaching her granddaughter and great-granddaughters her craft.
In 1978, Bobby and Delbert moved to Sacramento, CA to be closer to their son and his family, which is where she spent the remainder of her life. She was involved in support groups, volunteer work and her church after her retirement from the bakery. Bobby was a wonderful woman who loved being surrounded by family and impacted the lives of those around her more than she ever knew. She is survived by her only son, Tim, and his wife (Carol), whom she thought of as a daughter, her brother Bill (Linda) Hatfield, and sister-in-law Evelyn Richwine. She will also be greatly missed by her granddaughter Brandi (Eric) Beren, and 4 beautiful great-grandchildren, Michael, Timmy, Kylie, and Kimberly. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Delbert Richwine.
A graveside service for Eleanor will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, 1:00 PM, at Lemoore Cemetery, 1441 N. Lemoore Ave., Lemoore, CA 93245.
