James Allan Clark was born on February 20, 1965 in Ames, IA to George and Gaynell (Gabrielson) Clark. He spent his early childhood on a farm east of Ames and eventually moved to town with his parents. He was graduated from Ames High School in 1983. In 1986, he moved to Mainstream Living of Ames, and spent the rest of his life in their care. He worked from time to time at Sauer Danfoss.
Jim was not a man of many words, but he was a man of action! Known as “Jimmy Too” to family, Jim’s kindness to others was displayed by always being ready to give hugs and handshakes to family, friends and strangers. He was a passionate fan of the Iowa State Cyclones, and he could recite entire scenes from Star Trek and Star Wars. He also enjoyed WWF wrestling, going on traveling adventures, and, of course, having an ice cold Mt. Dew. Jimmy had the power to raise the spirits of everyone in the room, and his kind and funny heart touched countless people throughout his lifetime.
Jim is survived by his brother Paul of Story City; nephews David and Brian, and niece Ann; many cousins; and the many friends and loved ones at Mainstream Living of Ames. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother George; his sister Debbie; and his sisters-in-law Linda and Lisa.
The Clark family would like to thank Mainstream Living of Ames for their care of Jimmy over the decades. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mainstream Living of Ames or to the Special Olympics of Iowa.
