My sweet lady I sent flowers to you cause I can't kill them  You would never let me water your plants when I took care of the cats when you went to visit your daughter You could out work all the young ones that worked with us at Dollar General I will miss seeing you at Walmart and getting my hugs and you always told me you loved me We shared the love for cats I will miss you love you always  I always thought you would live forever  Toni

She was a one of a kind.  We used to joke if the world collapsed there would be 3 people left,  Jody, Keith Richards and Willy Nelson,  sadly, Jody has left us.  She certainly knew how to live and laugh.  She could make us laugh so hard at her stories.  Nobody is perfect.  That we know.  But she goes down as one of my most memorable characters.  I am happy to have known her.

I was Jody's neighbor for the past three years in Slater. We spoke many times over these years, mostly about our children and grandchildren and even the great grandchildren. She loved peanut butter cookies and I made sure she got some at Christmas. We all referred to her as the "cat lady". She was a joy to be around, and I will miss our visits. She was five years older than me, so I guess now I'm the oldest resident. "Rest in Peace my friend" you are now home with the Lord.
