Larry Neal Johnson

Larry Neal Johnson was born October 27, 1938 to Leo and Leona (Cavanaugh) Johnson. He grew up in Story City and Ames where he received his education. On January 22, 1983 Larry was united in marriage to Linda Sue Lorenz in Reinbeck, Iowa. The couple made their home in Roland and Larry made a career as a vending technician for Trow’s Vending which became Tavco Vending. He later took a position with Coca Cola and worked until his retirement.

Larry was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside with his Rottweiler dogs. He also enjoyed his CB radio. Most of all, Larry loved spending time with Linda, his children, and family who all held a special place in his heart.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda; children, Vikki (Joel) Myers, and Randy Johnson; grandchildren, Jacob (Sarah) Myers, Kelli (Seth) Moore, and Randy Neal Johnson Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Ron (Kathy) Johnson and Sharon (Ray) Cruse. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffroy Johnson; and granddaughter, Kerri Myers.
