Marilyn R. Dunfee of Ames, age 89, passed away peacefully from natural causes at the Northcrest Community on September 30th. She is survived by her daughter Paula Morrow (Miles), two grandchildren, John Morrow (Swati) and Megan Monroe (Michael), and one great-grandchild, Miles Monroe. Her sister, Linda Sheets, of Springfield Ohio, also survives her along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn was a devoted mother and valued contributor to the nation’s space program through her work with space logistics providers at the Kennedy Space Center. Per her request, there will be no funeral services.
Friends and family who would like to honor Marilyn can make a donation to the Northcrest Community Gifts and Memorials fund, which will be used to plant a memorial tree in Marilyn’s name.
