Alice Ivey Patrick

Known for her green thumb, she never met a plant she did not like. Her wisdom and knowledge extended to local history, the Bible, and common sense solutions. Mrs. Patrick lived her entire life in the Cary/Raleigh area. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.

She was the daughter of Albert and Cora Atkins Ivey. “Miss Alice”, as she was affectionately known to most, was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, W. Lee Patrick. She is survived by her daughter Betty Patrick Worley and husband Darrell Worley of Clayton, NC; daughter Jane Patrick Casey and husband Eric Casey of Arlington, VA; and granddaughter Jennifer Worley of Morrisville, NC.

Miss Alice often said her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be at Macedonia United Methodist Church, 2700 Jones Franklin Road, Cary, NC 27518, on Friday, November 9th, 2018 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the church parlor. The family will receive guests at other times at the home. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity or Macedonia United Methodist Church.
