Andrew Davis Shook, 30, passed away on November 18, 2016 at UNC Rex Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, to Robert Andrew Shook and Christie Haynie Shook on December 14, 1985. He attended North Gwinnett High School in Suwanne, Georgia and Clover High School in Clover, South Carolina.
Andrew was an avid science-lover and dreamed of being a theoretical physicist. He was a workaholic who enjoyed spending his free time with his sister, Carey, or watching documentaries or Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was an accomplished musician, playing a wide variety of instruments.
He is survived by parents Robert and Christie, siblings Matthew Kelly and Carey Cecelia Shook and Virginia Haynie Ferrell (Tommy), grandparents Fred Haynie and Jean Davis Haynie and Mary Burney Shook, and an abundance of loving cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded by grandfather Ed Shook.
The memorial service is on November 26, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
