Anne was born on October 31, 1953, in Wake County, North Carolina, to the late Douglas and Annie Laura Prince. She and her late husband, Wilson, were married while still attending high school and went on to build a life marked by love, devotion, and family.
Anne enjoyed fishing at the Outer Banks on Portsmouth Island and riding side-by-sides in the mountains of West Virginia, but most of all, she cherished creating memories and traveling with her children, grandchildren, brothers, sister, extended family, and friends. Anne was a woman of many talents. She loved drawing and cake decorating, and if something was broken, she could fix it. She was a strong woman of faith who loved Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clemon Wilson Knott and sister, Jane Clayton.
She is survived by her son, Jeremy Knott (Vickie); daughter, Tracey Jones (Jason); grandchildren: Amber, Garrett, Hannah, Dawson, and Shelby; brothers, Charles (Esther) and Michael (Ann); a sister-in-law, Cathey Stansbury; and an aunt, Ruby Bingham all whom she loved unconditionally. She also leaves behind her furbaby, Cricket.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Apex Funeral Home with burial to follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at her home after the burial service.
