Anne Petrina Sciortino Sawyer

Anne Petrina Sawyer, 76, of Cary, died Sunday, July 15, 2012. Mrs. Sawyer was born on August 30, 1935 in East Boston, MA to Guiseppe Sciortino and Mary Germino Sciortino. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Sawyer was devoted to her family and always put their needs before her own. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Sawyer is predeceased by her husband, Peter LoGuidice.

She is survived by her son: Joseph Sawyer and wife, Sheila of Iselin, NJ; daughters: Kathy Miller and husband, Todd of Apex, and Carolyn Aldridge and husband Jason of Charlotte; grandchildren: Jody and Reid Miller and Silas Aldridge; sister: Mary Silvey and husband, William of Arlington, MA. She is also survived by her aunt: Jenny DeFeo of Melrose, MA, cousin: June DeFeo, her nieces and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be 6:30 pm Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Mata residence, 8722 Lorraine Dr. Charlotte, NC 28270.

A funeral mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield, MA. Inurnment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 227 Walk Hill St., Boston (Roslindale) MA.
