Bobby Winston Branson

Bobby was born May 30, 1932 in Gulf, NC to the late John Henry Branson and Ruth Strother Branson. He was a graduate of Candor High School in Candor, NC.

While Bobby had many vocations and skills, he will be remembered most for his humble demeanor, his soft-spoken wisdom, and his ability to make lasting friendships wherever he went. His faith was prominent throughout his life. He was a founding member of the Westwood Baptist Church and spent many of his retirement years serving on the NC Baptist Men Dental Ministry Bus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Hollingsworth Branson and their son, Alan Douglas Branson.

Bobby is survived by his son, Michael Branson and his wife, Patti; daughter, Debra Willits; grandchildren, Stephen Branson and wife Emily, Stefanie Branson, Adam Willits and Matt Willits; and great grandson, Jackson Branson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Westwood Baptist Church, 200 Westhigh St. Cary, NC 27513. Burial will follow the service at Apex Cemetery, 100 Upchurch St. Apex, NC 27502.
