OBITUARY

Christopher Todd Freeman

23 May, 1970 – 29 July, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Apex Funeral Home

Chris “Cbass” Freeman”, 54, died unexpectedly Monday, July 29, 2024, of cardiac arrest. He was born May 23, 1970, in West Covina, CA, the son of Harvey Freeman Jr. and Vicki (Stevens) Oseland, alongside Husband, Dennis Oseland.

Chris graduated from Sacramento State University, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. While getting his education he was also providing for his son as a single Father.

While in college Chris supported him and his son as a field laborer in the glazing industry. Years later Chris found the love of his life , Mary (Loveland) Freeman. Through their 19 years of marriage they explored new opportunities while growing their family and making everlasting memories.

Chris was an active member in the Bass Fishing Community ranging from volunteering as a boater in his kids school fishing clubs to being a sponsored Tournament Angler in multiple leagues throughout the West Coast.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Noel Freeman and his sister, Jennifer Wooddell, alongside her husband Chris Wooddell and two children, Kevin and Ashley Wooddell.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary (Loveland) Freeman, are his two young daughters, Kaylee and Emilia Freeman. And his two grown sons, first born Jacob Freeman, alongside his fiancé, Aubrey Lushs (Oliver Grey due 9/15/24), and Son, Travis Weaver, alongside his fiancé, Brittney Sherrell (Coast Tylen due 9/8/24). Chris was so excited to meet his first grandchildren who are both expected to be born next month. He referenced becoming grandparents back-to-back with a boy and girl as “Hitting the Grandparent Lottery”!

Per Chris’ wishes, he was cremated after a private viewing was held for his immediate family. Mary and the girls will take his ashes to his favorite fishing places. Chris touched countless people with his sarcastic and genuine friendships that are spread far and wide. A celebration of life will be planned at a later time for those who wish to remember Chris the way he would have wanted - with friends and family gathering together to celebrate his life.
