Darin Andrew Thompson

Darin Andrew Thompson, born March 10, 1980 of Jamestown, NY, passed away peacefully at his home in Apex, NC, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and aunts on Monday, January 4, 2021. Darin fought a courageous 4 !/2 year battle with ALS.

Darin is survived by his wife, Nikki Thompson (Kennedy); children, Ethan and Johanna; parents; brother, James (Meghan) Thompson and 3 other siblings; loving aunts, Bonnie (Devin) Spencer and Candy (Dennis) Stuffelbeam; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Darin is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, James and JoAnne Thompson of Falconer, NY.

Darin was employed at SiteOne Landscape Supply Company as department manager and was loved by his co-workers and customers. Darin loved spending time with his wife and children and being outdoors. His hobbies included beekeeping, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Darin will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to ALSTDI (ALS Therapy Development Institute).

A graveside service will be held 11am Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Holly Springs Cemetery, Holly Springs, NC.
