David was born November 20, 1951 in Meriden, CT to the late Arthur Duell and Emily Wojck Duell. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the US Air Force where he served in the field of avionics. David was employed by IBM as an engineer, retiring with over 38 years of service. He enjoyed mountain and road biking, snow skiing, motorcycle riding, playing guitar and harmonica, playing pool with his league, and restoring his 1964 Corvette. David was a loving and generous husband, father and grandfather.
David is survived by his wife, Elona Duell; daughter, Heather Callan (Jon); granddaughters, Alexis LeBlanc and Schuyler Callan; sister, Debbie Fogg; and many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held 11am Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Calvary Chapel Cary, 1600 Center Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and later at the family home.
