David Rittenhouse

David was born September 10, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Chester Earl Rittenhouse and Anne Buffinga Rittenhouse. He served as a missionary with Trans World Radio for 41 years, including more than 30 years overseas in Guam, Singapore, Australia, and South Africa. He is remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandpa, friend, gifted musician, Bible study leader, student of God's word, man of integrity, and humble follower of Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Rittenhouse.

David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Flora Bruce Rittenhouse; daughters, Sarah Ball (Doug), Rachel DeBruin (Ted), and Hannah Peakman (Jon); son, Nathan Rittenhouse (Karen); brothers, Steve Rittenhouse, and Tom Rittenhouse; sisters, Ruth Nelson, and Carol Olexa; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Robert, Laura, Levi, Jael, Addie, Maggie, Anna, and Heidi.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm Monday, December 20, 2021 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. A memorial service will be held 11am Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Salem Baptist Church, 1821 N. Salem St., Apex, NC 27523 with private burial to follow in the church cemetery.
