Debra "Debbie" L. Beam

Debbie attended North Carolina State University and then dedicated her career to various departments of North Carolina State Government where she worked until her retirement. Throughout her life, Debbie had a deep love for animals, especially cats and dogs. She spent many years volunteering for rescue organizations, particularly assisting in the transportation of Boxer dogs to loving new homes.

Debbie is survived by her sister, Julie Delgaudio of High Point, NC, niece Kristin Patten of Denver, CO, and nephew Zachary Walters of Charlotte, NC. She is also cherished by an extended family, including friends who will always remember her wit.

Among her dear friends were Joyce Mandikos, Lynn Bridger and Tia Hagnes, who brought much joy and companionship into her life.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Fallston, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the following organizations that Debbie deeply cared for and supported: Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue - P.O. Box 1855 - Hickory, NC 28603 or Purr Partners Feline Rescue - P.O. Box 905 - Youngsville, NC 27596.

Debbie’s memory will live on through the lives of the animals she helped and the many people who were fortunate to know her.
