OBITUARY

Diane Marie Woo

23 September, 1949 – 31 July, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Apex Funeral Home

Like many people, we were unprepared and words will never do justice to what she meant to her family and friends. In the early morning hours of the 31st of July, we lost Diane Marie (Kimlick) Woo unexpectedly.

She was born September 23, 1949 in Goshen, Indiana to her late parents Harry J. and Anne (Johnson) Kimlick.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 51 years, Bob Woo, her children, Jen Rasmussen and her husband Aaron of Ohio, and Kim Ostapinski and her husband Marcin of North Carolina; grandchildren Emma, Drew, Olivia and Dylan; her brothers Wayne (Jeanne) Kimlick, Michael (Beth) Kimlick, Gary (Terry) Kimlick; and sister in laws, Janet Kimlick and Jan Kimlick; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Daniel Kimlick and Vincent Kimlick; and step-mother Anna Kimlick.

Diane was a loving and devoted Wife, Mom and Gigi. She loved her family and was committed to tracking the ancestry of her family. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She loved being with them and learned more about school days and different sports than she knew before. Diane loved to travel with Bob. They traveled around the world and were blessed to step foot on every continent. Her very favorite places being Egypt and Jordan. Diane was a foodie and enjoyed sharing meals and cooking for her family and friends. She was an avid knitter and loved a challenging pattern. Diane had a yarn stash that any knitter would envy. She loved to read and share her favorite books with her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in memory of Diane to the Susan G. Komen Organization, a cause that was special to her since losing her mom to breast cancer at the age 14.

A service to honor her legacy and celebrate her life is being planned in late September, her birthday month. Details to come.
