I was 10 years younger than Donna and the sister of her best friend Sherry Frazier Fisher, and also her next door neighbor. I grew up knowing her as a sweet kind soul that was always so kind to the bratty younger sister of her best friend. I was so blessed to grow up knowing her and watching her and Wayne start their love and relationship to each other! A truly lovely person! She will be missed by so many ! Love to all her family and friends!

The first time I met Donna was at a family reunion. It was several years later we began attending the same school.  I was excited as a young child that I had a cousin who was so nice and would be in my grade. She was always such a kind and caring person. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. 





Donna was one of my first friends when I moved to Brevard, NC in the 3rd grade.  We lived across the road from each other and became fast friends. We enjoyed visiting and slumber parties from elementary through high school.  She went with me on my HS graduation trip to Myrtle Beach.  She soon married her love and best friend, Wayne. When I was 21 and was going through a hard time in my life, I mentioned moving away from Brevard and she opened her home to me in Raleigh to live with her and Wayne until I found a job and place to live.  Later, she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. Donna was a quiet, sweet, kind and loving friend. I know she was that way with many.  My heart goes out to Wayne and all the family.  Sending much love.

Our very warmest condolences to Wayne on the loss of his very special wife, Donna, after so many years together.  Donna has been a wonderful neighbor and friend for more than 35 years, and we truly could not have asked for better neighbors.  Our two children grew up always knowing Donna's kindness and patience, and Donna  was there for us when our daughter became sick at school one day and neither of us was able to be reached (before the days of ubiquitous cell phones!).  She brought her home from school and kept her comfortable and happy until we arrived home.  Donna also saved us in a big way when our horses escaped from their pasture one day while we were out (again, no cell phones!).   Who knows what mischief (or danger) they could have gotten into, but Donna quickly put some horse feed in a can and enticed them back into the pasture and closed the gate.  We could never thank her enough for her quick thinking and willingness to help!  We will greatly miss her warmth and friendliness, and send much sympathy to Wayne.  May wonderful memories be with you always.

Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wayne Miller; brother, Randall Garren; sisters, June Jones (Van) and Vivian Rose (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews.
