

A life-long resident of Apex, Edna Earle was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ernest Stephens, Sr. and Lacy Rebecca Smith Stephens; her brother, Charles Ernest Stephens, Jr.; and her husband of 55 years, Charles Vernon Friddle.
Edna graduated from Apex High School and Hardbarger’s Business College. She worked in a number of bookkeeping and secretarial positions, culminating her career as a technical typist for a team of NASA scientists.
“Miss Edna” is survived by her daughter, Debbie Friddle Lineberry and husband Bill, and her son, Charles M. Friddle and wife Terry; four grandchildren, who were her “special Sunshine,” Paige Lineberry King and husband James, Kim Friddle Tetterton and husband Travis, Megan Friddle, and Andrew Lineberry; and great granddaughter, Meredith Tetterton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Apex Baptist Church, 100 S. Salem St. Apex. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.
