Formerly of Pelham Manor, NY, Eileen was born on October 6, 1939 to the late John A. and Marie D. Curley. She was a graduate of The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, NY and Trinity College in Washington, DC where she received her degree in Mathematics.
After college, Eileen was hired by Computer Usage Co, Inc. in New York where she worked as a programmer in a position that was one of the first in its field. She returned to work after raising her children and spent many years working as a book keeper for the accounting firm Matthews & Company in NYC. Eileen had many close friends from her years spent growing up in Pelham. She enjoyed traveling and planning yearly trips with her close-knit group of friends who called themselves “The Pelham Sisters”.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she was devoted to. She never missed a Grandparents Day at school and was always the proud grandma at every event whether it was a chorus concert, dance competition, award ceremony, soccer game or graduation.
She is survived by her children, son Stephen McGoldrick (Judy) and daughter Karen McKeon Nixon (George); three grandchildren, Jack McKeon, Sarah McKeon and Sean McGoldrick; siblings, Kevin Curley (Georgina) and John Curley (Beth) and several nephews and a niece.
