Eugene Crowley

Eugene was born on April 4, 1934 in Charlotte, NC to the late Arthur and Pauline Crowley. He enjoyed playing piano and guitar as well as listening to classical music and tinkering with cars. He loved the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Pops, trains, and cats. He was involved in the charismatic renewal in the 1970’s. He was a daily communicant. He taught natural family planning along with his wife, Maureen, for over 10 years. He took part in his son’s life as a Scout leader and band parent at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Marguerite Vanden-Eynden and Julia Harrison.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Crowley; son, David Crowley (Lauren); grandchildren Ethan and Lydia Crowley; and sister, Elaine Crowley.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Apex, NC with burial to follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM. A wake will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Apex Funeral Home.
