Lewis was born on December 31, 1929 in Wake County to the late William Floyd and Anna Clyde Pierce. Lewis was a farm equipment and semi-truck salesman for 55 years. He was a reliable and dependable mechanic who could fix any farm equipment or vehicle. He was one of the founding members of Fairview Rural Volunteer Fire Department in Apex. Lewis was a member of Catawba Springs Christian Church for his entire life and sang in the choir.
Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pierce and sister, Pansy Rhodes.
Lewis is survived by his daughters, Gail Lamm (Glenn) and Sandra Weddings (Wayne); grandchildren, Shana Williams (James), Frankie Williams Jr. (Kennon), Ashley Maidon; great grandchildren, Seamus Haulenbeek, Kaelyn Williams, Kenny Williams; nephew, David Rhodes.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Catawba Springs Christian Church, 6801 Ten Ten Road, Apex NC. The family will receive friends and guests at 10:00 AM with a funeral service and graveside service to follow at Catawba Springs Christian Church.
