Hilda Gray Bennett

Born in Sanford, NC on November 17, 1941, Hilda Gray loved her garden and flowers, pets, painting pictures for friends and family and puzzles. She was a devoted Mother that loved her children, daughters, Karen Watts (John Hurlman), Kendra Watts Zobel, and Pamela Eubanks Cowan. Her son Everette Kent Watts Jr. passed away in January 2022.

In addition to her children, she is survived by brothers Carl Bennett (Diane) and Eddie Bennett (Janet), Granddaughters Logan Cowan and Emily Wammock, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family and the many Friends that loved her dearly.

A graveside burial service will be conducted on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (1309 N Pea Ridge Road, Pittsboro, NC) at 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Haywood Bible Church (299 Haywood Road, Moncure, NC) at 11:00 am. Immediately following the service Haywood Bible Church will host a luncheon for family and friends. This is a time for fellowship and celebration of Hilda Gray and all are invited.

WakeMed Cary Hospital staff for the care over the past month and Transitions Hospice for the extraordinary care and support during Mom’s stay.
