Jean was born June 30, 1925 in Elmira, NY to the late Lauren and Lillian Hauser Lilholt. She was the eldest of five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert W. Williams.
Jean was a teacher to children of special needs most of her adult life at BOCES. She was just as devoted to her students as she was her own five children. She was “Supermom” before the term was even coined. She loved to ski with her buddy Simone and together they travelled to Montreal, Canada; Steamboat Springs, CO; Squaw Valley UT and locally enjoyed skiing at Bristol Mountain. She finally gave up her skis at age 83. In her later years, Jean kept busy by constructing and decorating beautiful dollhouses complete with lighting! She enjoyed life and adventure and smiled her way through.
Jean is survived by her sister, Marjorie Angle; her children, Michael J. Williams (Lorrie), Michelle Stoll (Donald), Marcy Samuels (Stuart), Robert L. Williams (Deborah) and Christopher J. Williams (Aleatha); ten grandchildren, Megan Williams and Mallory (Eric) Bielski, Zachary Stoll, Michael (Molly) and Jacob Samuels, Barret, Denton and Madeline Williams, Kayla and CJ Williams; and two great grandsons Bo and Jack Samuels.
A memorial service for Jean will be held on July 14, 10AM at Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield, NY. Family will receive friends after the service at the Hampton Inn, Penfield located at 950 Panorama Trail South.
