Kathryn (Kay) Marie McGarry

Kathryn was born June 20, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Marion (Coiley) Farrell. She was a volunteer for several charitable organizations throughout her life including Sacred Heart Church, North Merrick, NY and Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kay will be profoundly missed but will live on in the many hearts of those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Everett Joseph McGarry; daughter, Katherine (Katie) McGarry-Noack; brother, James Farrell; son-in-law, Michael Brink; and granddaughter, Savannah Teresa.

Kathryn is survived by her children, Marianne Burke (Joseph), Deborah Brink, Patrick McGarry (Marianna), and Ellen Macri (Joseph), as well as brothers, Joseph (Joan) Farrell and Peter (Jane) Farrell. She was a proud Nana to Kevin Joseph (Stephanie), Kelley Patricia, Colleen Kathryn, Nicholas McGarry, Daniel Jerome, Ryan Joseph, Caroline Katherine, Shane Ignacio, and Jonathan Everett.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:15 am on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 720 Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY 11566. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at O'Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Road, East Meadow, NY 11554.
