Lizy John

Mrs. Lizy John, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024, in Raleigh, at the age of 85, after a brief illness. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Born in Eraviperoor, Kerala, Lizy's life journey took her to New Delhi, New York, and eventually to Raleigh, where she built a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Georgekutty (John); her son Bobby (John) and his wife, Rekha; her daughter Anita (Miriam); and her three grandsons Saadiq, Joseph, and Jacob. Lizy is also remembered fondly by her brother Achenkunju and his family.

Her passion for Nursing defined her remarkable career that spanned an impressive 45 years. Her commitment to excellence in Nursing was evident in the compassionate care she provided to countless patients. She truly exemplified the goals of her profession, dedicating her life to caring for others with a spirit of selflessness and empathy.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lizy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love and warmth created a nurturing home for her family, and her dedication to God shone through her active participation in churches in New York and Raleigh.

Lizy's strength was evident in her professional life and how she faced life's challenges with resilience and courage. Her indomitable spirit inspired those around her, impacting everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will leave behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
