She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Richard W. Oswald, and her two daughters, Nancy Oswald and Elizabeth "Betty" Smith, and son-in-law Douglas Smith.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Virginia Oswald and husband Ralph W. Milby of Apex; two sons, Richard W. Oswald III and wife Elizabeth McC. Oswald of Wichita Falls, TX, and John Oswald and wife Taryn E. Oswald of Garner, NC; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at The Church of the Nativity in Raleigh, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Marian's name be made to The Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
