

Norma Boor Miller passed away peacefully on Sunday May 11 at the age of 94. Born on July 14, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, where she lived until moving to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1978 with her family. She lived in that area until 2003, when she moved to Morrisville, NC to be close to her son, daughter-in-law, and beloved Grandson.
She was raised by her parents, along with her two sisters and brother. She loved dogs, and owned one most of her life. She was very close to her extended family, and loved spending time with them at the frequent family gatherings. She worked various jobs over the years, everything from a hat check girl as a teenager, keypunching, secretary, and clerk with the school district.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Norman K. Boor and her parents: Norman C. Voltz and Kathleen Welcher Voltz, and her siblings: Darleen Kuhn, Kathleen Repine, and Norman Voltz. She is survived by her son Alan, his wife Sheila, and her grandson Steven, as well as the rest of her extended family, including all her nieces and nephews and their kids.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Service to be held on Saturday May 31 at 2:00pm with a reception to follow at Apex Funeral Home. If so inclined, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Wake County (spcawake.org/honor-memorial-gifts).
