

Paul John Beyer was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, January 19, 1966. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, June 27, 2016, after a courageous seven-month battle against colon cancer. Loving husband of Colleen Flynn Beyer and proud father of Nicholas, Emily, and Katherine Beyer. Son of John and Barbara Beyer and son-in-law of Tom and Liz Flynn. Brother to David, Michael, Eric, Karl, Kathy, and Stephen and brother-in-law to Colleen’s sister and brother, Kerry and Thomas. He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts and uncles as well as nieces and nephews.
He grew up outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, attended California University of Pennsylvania studying Computer Science Management. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988, he moved to the Washington, DC area where he embarked on a successful career, working as a computer programmer for the Department of Agriculture and Department of the Navy. He moved with his family to Apex, North Carolina in 1997 where he continued his career at RH Donnelley/ Dex One, First Citizens Bank, and Deutsche Bank.
Paul was a faithful member of the Saint Andrew Catholic Church. He was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, Pirates, and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Following the prayer service, visitation will continue until 9:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Friday, July 1, 2016.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Transitions Hospice Care, Saint Andrew Catholic Church, or Colon Cancer Research.
Paul will be greatly missed by many.
