OBITUARY

Paul Lynn Pruitt Sr.

23 April, 1962 – 30 December, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Apex Funeral Home

Paul Lynn Pruitt Sr., 63 of New Hill, passed away on December 30, 2025. Paul was born on April 23, 1962 in Halifax, VA to the late Paul and Audrey Pruitt.

Paul cherished his time as a race car driver at Orange County Speedway. He spent many years working as a body shop manager before becoming disabled and no longer able to work. Above all else, nothing brought him greater joy than being "Paw Paw" to his six grandchildren. He could often be found at the baseball field (with popcorn in hand) cheering on a grandson or sitting in the stadium bleachers watching another play football during their high school years.

Paul was well known for his sense of humor- a true jokester who was always cracking jokes, never knowing what might come out of his mouth, and keeping everyone on their toes.

You could always count on hearing him say, "I can't tell." In his quieter moments, Paul found happiness in fishing, gardening, and spending time with his chickens.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew Sgt. Lance O. Eakes.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Pruitt; his three daughters,

Krystal Lubiz (Walter), April Feliciano (David) and Melissa (Chris); son, Paul Jr.; His six grandchildren, Dominic, Hunter, Lance, Audriana, Savannah, and Dean; sister: Tammy (John) and brother, Ricky Sr.
