Phyllis was born in Horry County, SC to the late N.D. Sellers and Nettie Emily Watts Sellers. She served as pianist for over 15 years at The Capital Church in Garner where her husband pastored. Phyllis was also a hairdresser in the Garner area for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sellers; son, Kenneth Wayne Harrell; and brother-in-laws, Charles Brown and Carl Pendleton.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Roland Harrell; son Roland Timothy (Tim) Harrell; daughter-in-law, Janet Harrell; grandson, Kenneth Parker Harrell; sisters, Margie Pendleton and Edna Brown; nephews, Jeff Clark, Bob Sellers and Greg Brown; and nieces, Pamela Clark Fender, Melinda Sellers Holland and Lisa Sawyer.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2pm Saturday, December 19, 2020 at The Capital Church, 1308 Highway 70 W., Garner, NC 27529. Burial will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton, NC. Due to COVID-19, there will be no family reception. Those who wish to view, can do so from 1-2pm prior to the service. The service will be available for Facebook Livestream through The Capital Church Facebook Page.
