

Ronald C. Esper, age 90 of Cary, NC and formerly of Medina, OH passed away on July 11, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joanne Esper (Rudy), his daughters Amy Esper, Julie Simser (Dale), Susan Denegar (Craig) and his four grandchildren Holly Simser Rush (Matt), Brian Simser, Charles Denegar and Cody Denegar.
He is also survived by his sister Jane Bede and a brother-in-law Robert Gummere as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The extended family was close-knit and enjoyed many good times together.
He was born on September 24, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert A. Esper and Irene R. Esper (Faist). After childhood in Cleveland, he graduated from the University of Illinois and then served in the U.S. Navy. He had a successful career in the paper and packaging industry, but the most important part of his life was the love of his family and his many great friendships. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He loved music and loved playing the piano. He was a kind and caring man who lived out his strong faith by serving others and standing up for what is right. He was a teacher and mentor to many people.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10:45am.
