Sanaa (Rafidi) Taweel

Sanaa Taweel, 60 of Cary, passed away on December 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 6, 1962, in Ramallah, Palestine to her parents, Suleiman and Widad Rafidi, and moved to the United States in 1968, at the age of 6 years old.

Sanaa was the life of the party everywhere she went. She loved traveling the United States with her husband, spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, playing Bingo, meeting friends at the Pub, and building memories at the beach with her loved ones. For her career, Sanaa began her journey as a property manager back in 1997 through a temp agency upon moving to North Carolina. She ended her career after 15 years in 2022 at Regency Centers where her colleagues eventually became family.

She is preceded in death by her father Suleiman Rafidi.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Widad Rafidi; her husband, John Taweel; her brother Jamal Rafidi; her sisters Rene El-Hage, Rima Misleh, and Renda Downing; her children Sami Taweel, Nicole (Josh) Collins and Danielle (Grant) Edwards; her grandchildren Jack, Alyssa, Harper, Shae and Crawford; and all remaining family, friends and anyone who knew her within the community.

Family will receive friends and guests on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:30 AM at All Saints Antiochian Orthodox Church, Raleigh, NC with a graveside service to follow at Wake Memorial Park, Cary, NC.
