Shirley Ann Dixon, 64, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Durham. She was born September 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Leo and Winiford (Belfontaine) Larette. She married Floyd Dixon on September 17, 1994 in Waterboro, Maine.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, children, Scott Lansill of Wake Forest, Michael Lansill of Raleigh, NC, Rachel Berwick of Wake Forest, NC, Floyd Dixon III and wife Andrea of Creedmoor, NC, and James Dixon and wife Peggy of Hiram, ME; eleven grandchildren; sister, Jenice Larette of South Portland, ME and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1 PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. Burial will take place in Portland, Maine.
