Steven Michael Campbell

Steven Michael Campbell, 23, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and nephew, departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 after a very long and courageous battle with cancer that began at the age of 10. Born October 10, 1987, to Tim and Donna (Reynolds) Campbell, Steven was always full of life. During his years of remission, he loved and lived life to the fullest. With family and a large circle of friends being most important to him, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the thrill of motorcycles. Steven’s loving nature and outgoing personality touched so many lives. Those who knew him well, will always remember his signature smile, his bright blue eyes, and his contagious laugh.

In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his sister, Brittany Ellis and husband Stephen of Holly Springs; brother, Brian Campbell of the home; very special niece, Kailey Ellis; paternal grandparents, Joyce Campbell and the late Jack Campbell; maternal grandparents, David Reynolds and wife Kathy; aunts and uncles, Michael Campbell and wife Becky, Kelli Graves and husband Steven, and Jackie Campbell; and numerous cousins and extended family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Julie Blatt, the clinic staff, and the 5th floor nurses at UNC Children’s Hospital for the years of dedicated and loving care they provided him. They would also like to thank their SAS family which has been so supportive during this journey.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 2 PM at Apex Baptist Church, 110 S. Salem Street, Apex, NC 27502. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 5-7 PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex.
