Virginia Corinne Johnson

Virginia Corinne (LaCasse) Johnson, 87, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 24, 2026. She was born on November 4, 1938, in Stratford, New Hampshire, to Armand and Antoinette LaCasse.

Virginia married Ronald Johnson in 1959, and together they shared many loving years until Ron’s passing in 2017. Family was at the heart of Virginia’s life. She was a devoted homemaker while raising her children and caring deeply for her family.

Later, Virginia worked for 21 years as a Customer Service Representative, including five years with Sears and 12 years with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). She treasured her years there, valued the friendships she made, and remained in contact with many former coworkers long after her working years ended.

Virginia was also the primary caretaker for her 98-year-old sister-in-law, Edna Keim, who was especially dear to her. Her dedication, compassion, and quiet strength were evident in the care she gave to those she loved.

She is survived by her children Michael Johnson, Lisa Converse, Lori Foster, and Rick Johnson (Jennifer); her grandchildren Isys Johnson (Andy), Bree Plante (Patrick), Logen Johnson, Brenden Foster (Meghan), Hannah Levesque (Andrew), Haley Converse, Kyle Converse, Reganne Johnson, and Keeli Johnson; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Donald LaCasse and her sisters Dianne Worth and Susan Lepine (Daniel). She dearly loved her many nieces and nephews, holding close relationships with them throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Armand and Antoinette LaCasse; her husband, Ronald Johnson; and her brothers Raymond, Freeman, Roland, and Robert LaCasse.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, near where she grew up, in Stratford, New Hampshire, with arrangements to be made in the summer or early fall of 2026.
