Ashton Dellon Bauchman was born on July 2, 1996, at Cedar Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, California. His parents, Martin Bauchman III and April Jules welcomed another addition to their household. From a young age, Azhia, his protective older sister, helped him navigate through childhood as he found joy in life. Ashton was compassionate, and he always had a passion for helping animals. He loved playing with his cousins at family gatherings.
He spent some time with his grandmother Kathleen C. Silva and his late grandfather David P. Burger Sr., and through their travels, he developed a love for nature, camping, tall green trees, and fishing.
Ashton also loved the water. Whether a water fountain, pool, or beach, he loved it! To escape the intense heat of the Inland Empire summer, April would take Ashton and Azhia to the beach and boogie board through the cool waves at Corona Del Mar.
Ashton looked up to his older sister. The two of them were inseparable.
As Ashton grew older, he developed the skill of working well with his hands and was fascinated with taking apart and putting together computers. Shortly after Ashton turned 18 years old, he went to Job Corps for auto mechanics so he could use his hands. This is where he met Samantha VanEtten. Shortly after leaving Job Corps, Ashton and Samantha welcomed a baby girl named Abigail Rose. His late uncle David P. Burger Jr. mentored and showed Ashton how to be an excellent father to Abigail. He often went fishing with Uncle David and his family.
Ashton was very thoughtful, kind, and had a big heart. He was also spiritual and believed in astrology and numerology. Sometimes he would call or text his mom and sister about their horoscopes. Ashton expressed his feelings through music and often sent links to songs to his mom and sister. He was known for helping homeless cats or dogs to take care of them or find them a good home.
Ashton struggled to be a perfect son, brother, father, and friend, which sometimes made him sacrifice his well-being to help others. Despite his struggles, Ashton loved and was loyal to his family and friends.
Ashton is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Martin Bauchman, Sr., Edward J. Silva, and Marguerite Silva. His grandparents, Harry Jules, Michelle Stewart, David P. Burger Sr., and his uncle David Burger Jr.
Ashton will be missed and survived by his parents, Martin Bauchman III and April Jules, his daughter Abigail Rose VanEtten, his sister Azhia Bauchman, his great-grandmother Grace Mayfield and grandparents Martin Bauchman, Jr., and Kathleen C. Silva, plus other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
