Cruz Soto

Cruz Soto, age 84 of Barstow, CA went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2021. He was Born May 3rd 1936 to Tony and Felipa Soto in La Junta Colorado. Cruz moved to Barstow with his family when he was 7 years old. He attended Elementary and High school in Barstow. He was a member of Barstow High Schools Varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball teams. He was also a member of the JROTC. After High school he was employed by BNSF for a number of years. After changing careers he was employed at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow where he retired after 27 years and 9 months of employment.  After retirement, Cruz enjoyed spending time with family, especially his wife Margaret Soto. On the weekends you could find Cruz at a grandchild’s sporting event or just hanging out with them. He prided himself through his grandchildren.  

Cruz is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Felipa Soto, and his son Steve Soto. Siblings Wilma, Sylvia, Mary Lou, Judy, and Johnny. 

Surviving Cruz is his loving wife of 42 Years Margaret Soto. Daughters, Debbie Zepeda (Alex), Michelle Misilagi (Vince). Sons, Philip Soto (Odelia), Paul Soto, Gabe Soto (DeAnna). Brother, Arnold Soto (Marie). 

Also Surviving Cruz are 16 Grandchildren , and 18 great Grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. 

Family Visitation for Cruz will be held Monday March 15 2021 from 10am - 2pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park 24000 Waalew Rd Apple Valley, CA 92307

Rosary and Funeral Mass for Cruz will be held Tuesday March 16 2021 at 1030am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church 505 Mountain View St Barstow, CA 92311.

Graveside will follow the Funeral Mass at Sunset Hills Memorial Park 24000 Waalew Rd Apple Valley, CA 92307. Reception after on Patio at Sunset Hills.
