Elena Rentrios Mitchell

Elena Rentrios Mitchell passed away peacefully on 08/03/2024 at the age of 88. Elena was born to Louis Rentrios and Cleofas Mesa in California on March 10, 1936. She was the youngest of four siblings raised on a farm in Southern California. She often worked 2 jobs to support our family, she last had a long career as a secretary. She also loved making floral arrangements and donating to the local hospitals and nursing homes for those who needed their day brightened up. After moving to Apple Valley, she attended Victor Valley College and made us very proud acquiring her High School Diploma, she also attended a sewing class where she later became the teachers assistant in helping teach the sewing classes for many years, since her 20's she made beautiful dresses, clothing, and blankets for multiple family and friends. All her life she enjoyed dancing and even attended a pilates dance class until the age of 86 years old. She loved large and small gatherings, music, swimming, and laughter. She also loved the Lord, attending church frequently as well as being a member of the widows group at Calvary Chapel of Apple Valley. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by 7 children, 3 sons Michael and wife Brenda, Jeffrey and wife Linda (preceded), Keith and wife Kathleen, 4 daughters Lorraine, Valerie and husband William, Natalie and husband Doug (preceded), and Stacy and husband Michael.

Grandchildren Michael Jr., Natalie, Stewart, Melissa , Jamie, Jeffrey Jr., Alan, Clinton, Amber, Tiffany, Stephany, Jamie, Rachael, Alisha (preceded), Danielle, Michaela, John (preceded), Vanessa, Quentin, William Jr., Ryan, Laurel. And many Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren, Nephews, Nieces, many friends, of whom she was very proud of all.

A memorial service for Elena will be held Saturday, September 07, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Hills Mortuary & Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, California 92307. Following the memorial service, there will be a graveside service as well as a catered reception on Sunset Hills Mortuary's covered patio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital - www.stjude.org, in honor of Elena's Memory.
