

John Blanc passed away at home after a brief illness on January 27, 2026. He was born on March 6, 1948, in New Hampshire and moved to the High Desert as a child, where he became a proud and lifelong resident.
John graduated from Victor Valley High School in 1966. He dedicated 30 years of his life to teaching developmentally delayed students at Apple Valley Middle School and Apple Valley High School. He was widely respected for his patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his students. After retiring from teaching, he went on to build a successful career as a financial planner and tax preparer.
John will be remembered for his gentle nature, straightforward communication style, and generous heart. He worked tirelessly to uplift his community and those around him. He was a longtime member of Church of the Valley and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. For more than 40 years, he was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, serving as a sponsor and mentor to many. He was also a dedicated member of the Apple Valley Kiwanis Club.
Family meant everything to John. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Carole Voll; his daughter, Mary Beth Blanc Stokes (Kevin); his son, Stephen Bjorn Blanc; and his grandchildren, Holden, Brodie, Lakota Davis, Ruby and Zoe Stokes.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of Church of the Valley, 20700 Standing Rock Ave., Apple Valley, CA 92307. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Interment will take place at 1:00 PM at Sunset Hills Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Rd., Apple Valley, CA 92307.
