Her childhood was spent in Leaky, Texas traveling with her family to earn money in the fields in Michigan, Wisconsin and other states. During her young adult life, she was in the Job Core, traveled overseas as an Air Force Military Wife, worked at a canning plant and enjoyed playing softball. She was an extraordinary Chef at the Apple Valley Inn in its hay day. She learned to cook prime rib and many dishes throughout her life. She also cooked at the famous Outpost Café and Adelanto Casino. She enjoyed raising her Sons Edwin Ortiz Jr. (45) and Mark Anthony Ortiz (30). During her later years help raise numerous children by babysitting, volunteered at Adelanto Elementary School and encouraged and mentored many to get their citizenship which she achieved in 1999. Enjoyed cooking and sharing wisdom with her daughter in laws Danielle and Kassy. She was survived by 4 Sisters Marie Zermeno, Jennifer Frank-Bentancourt, Martina E. Neely, and Rita Jones and 2 Brothers Jose Rodriquez and Narcizo (Chicho) Rodriguez. Parents Joe Rodriguez and Petra Bentancourt and Brother Pete Rodriguez proceeded her in death. The lights of her life was her Grandsons Junyor and Lucius which she help raise and nurture. Many numerous Nephews, Nieces, Adopted Grandchildren and extended family and friends who she cherished dearly will miss her but not forget her. She is now resting with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. He got a good one!
