

Richard Wright was born in Cleveland Ohio on August 28th, 1944, to Richard and Eula Wright he was one of five children. Richard's education was studied in the Cleveland public system. After school Richard joined the U.S. Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Illinois in 1963. After boot camp he was station in San Diego, Ca.
He met Minnie Muriel Moore and got married on July 23rd.,1966 to this union was born 2 sons Richard Charzell and Tony Demond. While serving his country and raising his sons that were well taken care of, Richard also coached little league baseball in Lemon Grove, Pop Warner football in San Diego. Richard went to San Diego City College where he received his associates degree in sports, he was known as coach Wright.
While in the service at NTC San Diego he played one of his favorite sports which was basketball, Richard's career was being in the service, he did 25 years and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (SCPO) in The US Navy. After retirement he worked with a company called Jet Products located in San Diego where he was a machinist. After being there for 5 years, he left and worked at Home Depot in the paint department in Chula Vista.
As his wife Minnie is blessed and thankful to have had Richard (Charlie) in her life. The love, crazy, Joy and Sadness they shared, their 2 handsome sons and 3 homes they shared a pretty good life 59 years.
Preceded in death are his Parents, 3 Siblings and sons Richard C. Wright and Tony D. Wright.
To cherish his memory are his Wife, 3 granddaughters Rea'Jah, Kivonne, Ra Neisha, Sister Shirleen, 3 sister-in-laws Ann, Gean, Gwen and 2 special ladies Shalanda and Carmen and Many nieces and nephews which Uncle Charlie had a part in their life.
Cremation will take place in Victorville Ca followed by Burial that will be in San Diego Ca at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
