Roy Newman

On April 3rd of 2023, Roy lost his battle with cancer at the age of 54. He fought hard but is now at peace with his brother. He was a kind loving husband, father, son, and grandfather and great grandfather. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for family or friends.

Roy was born on October 12th 1968, in Marshfield, WI to Richard and Carol Newman.

He was a proud veteran and always said the military dropped him off in the desert but this wasn’t the California he imagined. However he forged a life here, went back to Wisconsin and ultimately returned to California a second time where he met the love of his life Elaine. Life was good until cancer came calling. Our hearts are heavy now that his physical presence is gone. His memory will live on in our hearts and we will tell his story so he will never be forgotten.

Roy is survived by his soulmate Elaine, son Ryan, daughters Rebecca (Jason), Bridget (Aaron) and Michaela (Darryk), his parents Richard and Carol, his sister Michelle, 11 grand-children and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother Dale.

On June 3rd, at 11am, a celebration of his life will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley.
