He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his son Stephen and grandson Karl.
Stephen was a musician for 60+ years who loved to Rock-Out nice and loud. Even though he taught himself how to play many instruments, he mostly played Bass and Guitar. The two bands he played with the most were Jynx and Teraplane. Stephen was the last remaining member of Jynx. Stephen holds 6 musical copyrights with the U.S. Copyright Office. Stephen finished 35+ Marathons. He coached many people through their first marathons, taught fitness classes at multiple gyms, and was a personal trainer for 20+ years.
Stephen lived most of his life in the San Fernando Valley. There was only ever one other place he wanted to be, the Hawaiian Island Maui. He talked about moving to Maui until the Maui fires burned his dream to ash.
Stephen wanted the world to be a better place for future generations. He was a frequent donor to animal charities and believed we should be good stewards of the planet. He was a self-proclaimed hippie, who led with his heart. He was anti-war and wanted everyone to live in peace. He even made up a new acronym to explain his mindset: L’ECA (Love, mother Earth, Children of the world, Animals of the world).
He will be fondly remembered.
