Alfred Frederick Caprio Jr., age71 of Valencia, California, passed away on May 29th, 2019 in Santa Monica, California, after a 3-year battle with stage IV renal cell carcinoma. The Visitation will be 5:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary-Chapel of the Oaks- 23287 N Sierra Hwy Newhall California, 91321. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday June 6th, 2019 at St. Kateri Catholic Church- 22508 Copper Hill Dr. Santa Clarita, California 91350 Alfred Frederick Caprio Jr. was born in Somerville, Massachusetts to Alfred Frederick Caprio and Orean Cox on December 6th, 1947. The family relocated to Arlington Texas where he spent his childhood and attended school. He married Sheri Ann Brown on October 17th, 1981 in Kettering, Ohio. He Graduated from The University of Texas – Arlington. After graduation, he went to work as a Customer Service Director for Reynolds and Reynolds Company for 36 years. He then was a realtor for Dilbeck Realty in Valencia for over 9 years. Prior to his career at Reynolds and Reynolds, Al had an honorable career with the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Award, and Navy Unit Commendation. He belonged to an elite organization, The Navy Security Group Command, which produced Communications Intelligence and Electronic Intelligence for Navy commanders and other agencies within the Department of Defense. He held a Top Secret-crypto security clearance. His service was done in Germany on the Baltic Sea and in Adak, Alaska. Alfred Frederick Caprio Jr., Preceded in Death by his Mother Orean Cox, and his Father, Alfred Frederick Caprio. Alfred Frederick Caprio, Jr. is survived by his wife, Sheri Ann Caprio, daughter Jacklyn Nicole Montoya, son Michael Brandon Caprio, sister Deborah Peach, brother Steven Caprio, grandson Jack Alexander Montoya, and granddaughter Natalia Sofia Montoya.
