Arthur Benedicta Senato

He was born in Staten Island, NY on May 31, 1933. He was married to Florence Flora on November 26, 1966 until her death in 1991. He then married Rosie Hopkins until her death in 2004. Arthur had a career in aviation as a mechanic and pilot. His career began in the United States Air Force. He also served in the United States Army and the Texas Air National Guard. Arthur also worked with Grumman and retired from LTV/Vought. He had a passion for all types of aircraft, especially helicopters.

He was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and founded the Texas Chapter of the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed catering for large groups of people with those organizations.

He was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Caroline Senato. Brothers and sisters Nicholas, Vincenzo, Vincent, Joseph, Frank, Josephine “Jo,” Anthony, Salvatrice “Sally,” Philip, Jeanie, and son Cary Lynn.

He is survived by his son James Senato and wife Carol, son Art Senato and wife Nancy, daughter Barbara Bryant and husband Cosby, daughter Christine Morris and husband Chris, stepdaughter Kim Buroughs and husband Ron, stepdaughter Robin Hopkins and spouse Mary Littell.

Grandchildren Samantha Humphrey, Danielle Sweely and husband Justin, Gabrielle Senato, Braden Bryant, Connor Morris, Natalie Morris, Taylor Dunivan, Denver Dunivan and wife Cassandra, Sydney Buroughs, Maxine Hopkins, and Henry Hopkins.

Great grandchildren Zane Wibbing, Lyla Cantrell, Ava Hatley, Everett Sweely, and Summer Sweely. Brother, John Senato, and longtime friend/companion Maureen White.

Viewing is Sunday, June 30, from 2-4pm at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, 1219 N. Davis St., Arlington, TX 76012.

Funeral service will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, 500 E. Dallas St., Mansfield, TX, 76063, Monday, July 1, at 11am. Burial will be at 1pm at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.
