Bart Reed, age 60, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas. He was born on January 18, 1965, in Glendora, California, to Bob and Gladyce Reed. Bart grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Southwest High School in 1983. In 1986, he married his high school sweetheart, Debi, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and three children.
A natural leader and hard worker, Bart dedicated more than 50 years to his family’s business, Reed Plumbing, where he served as CEO. His work ethic was matched only by his zest for life. He loved teeing off with his “group of misfits” on the golf course, attending concerts with Debi and their closest friends, cheering on his favorite DFW sports teams, and traveling. But above all, his greatest joy was time spent with his family—lol especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Pops.”
Those who knew Bart will remember him as loyal, fun-loving, hardworking, and the kind of man you could always count on.
Bart is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Taylor Brooke Reed, his father, Bob Reed, and his sister, Jennifer Reed.
He is survived by his mother, Gladyce Reed; his wife, Debi Reed; his son, Jared Reed, and his wife, Blair; his daughter, Karli Bergeron, and her husband, Ryan; his brother, Robert Reed, and his wife, Tracy, along with their children. Most of all, he is survived by his three grandchildren—Hudson, Truett, and Tatum—who were the light of his life and the ones who brought out his softer, most tender side as their Pops.
Bart’s family and friends will forever carry his memory in their hearts, cherishing the laughter, love, and countless moments they were blessed to share with him.
