OBITUARY

Becky Leffler

11 January, 1946 – 3 September, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens

Rebecca Lou Leffler (née Brown) went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Becky was born on January 11, 1946, in Gorman, Texas to Lively and Gaye (Whitlow) Brown. The daughter of a Methodist pastor, she moved often, eventually moving to Georgetown, Texas, where she graduated high school and met her husband-to-be, Skip Leffler. She graduated from Southwestern University in 1967, married Skip the same year, and taught elementary school until their first child was born in 1969. Becky was a devoted wife, mother of two children, and volunteer.

Becky had the gifts of hospitality and administration and served for many years in Bible Study Fellowship as a group leader and class administrator. She and Skip served together with Family Life Weekend to Remember and in various church volunteer roles. Becky enjoyed organizing and hosting events from baby and bridal showers to church welcome lunches. She also enjoyed travel, especially going to the beach.

Becky’s family and friends rejoice and take comfort in knowing that she trusted in the saving grace of Jesus and is, therefore, with Him. She is whole, and we will have a glorious reunion someday.

Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Skip Leffler, and her parents, Gaye and Lively Brown. Her beloved granddaughter, Kirsten Leffler, followed in death a few days after Becky’s passing. Becky is survived by her daughter, Michelle Leffler Volk, of Richardson; son, Brad Leffler and wife, Kerith, of Dallas; grandchildren, Caleb Volk and wife, Michael; Jordan Volk; Katelyn and Josh Leffler; sister Patricia Chenault of Hurst; and brother Jolly Brown and wife, Ann, of Novato, California.

A celebration of life to honor Becky will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 2:00pm at Lake Church, 2912 Little Road, Arlington, TX 76016.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bible Study Fellowship, Mission Metroplex, or Metroplex Women’s Clinic. Becky loved and supported these organizations for many years.

The staff at Moore Funeral Home encourages family and friends to express their fond memories, expressions of sympathy and additional condolences to the family of Becky Leffler, by visiting www.moore-funeralhome.com.
